My First Quilt

It all started when...

I made my first quilt for my husband, an avid photographer, so I used fabric with cameras on it. He raved about it so much, I was hooked. Who doesn't want to feel appreciated? I matched the colors of the material to the hues of his office walls. He uses the quilt to take naps on his office couch when he has to work late. He claims he gets compliments on this quilt often, and I am thrilled to hear about them!

My friend, Tiffany's three year old daughter, Clara was going through a fairy phase, thus the theme of this quilt.

My dear friend, Mary loves cats, so when I saw this fabric, I simply had to make this quilt for her 45th birthday! It stays on her couch to keep her warm during the chilly winter months. Needless to say, her feline friends love it!

Another magnificent friend named Robin loves cats too, so I created this quilt for her 55th birthday. She only has one feline friend named Spike; he's a yellow/orange tabby, so I just had to use this fabric for her special quilt!

After my niece studied abroad for a semester at Oxford and Paris, I decided to make her another quilt, this time with memories of her trip on it. The girl loves purple, so I made it to match her first quilt. This one was for her 20th birthday.

I made this for my sweet friend, Frannie whose son adopted a little girl named Norah. If you look closely, you'll see my embroidery at the bottom matches the hopscotching girls on the fabric.

This is a memory quilt I made for a wonderful family that lost a loved one. The memory of their son (name, birth date, etc.) is embroidered on the back of the quilt.
